Road to Macmillan

This week my house has been littered with pages from my Macmillan's Children's Book Competition entry. So, so much paperwork I could have swum in it! 

The dummy was on its 11th or 12th reincarnation and it was quite a journey that got it there. I had feedback and evaluations, support and shrugs and yesterday I handed it in with it's full colour papers and a soggy looking form.

AOI Prize for Illustration Competition Entry

I've entered for the 2015 Prize for Illustration competition run by AOI (Association of Illustrators)

The subject in London and the places and spaces people love there. I concentrated on the things i point out to my kids when me travel round the city and the people who we spot and pigeons, the only true Londoners. 

The process was a series of pen and ink drawings scanner and arranged to create this towering cacophony of London splendor.
