The Secret Garden wasn't one of those books that I had managed to read whilst still a child, I read it in a hurry ,Rock and Roll stylee, just after I had been commissioned to create this artwork for a local theatre company. I am so glad I found the occasion to read it because -what a sweet book. The descriptions of the flowers and the garden could almost make me wonder about my own patch of green. Until I remember the last withered plant I tried to save from my own wilful neglect. I enjoy drawing them much much more.

Fly Away
When I was supposed to be tiding up I found a collection of tissue paper shapes and as you guess all chances of organising went out of the window while I played with glue and tissue paper collages like a big kid. This was one of my favourite activities with my artistic Mother when I as a kid.

Labels:
balloons,
collage,
colour,
